Our recording studio, the Jazz Kitchen, in Burlington, Ontario, is well known for quality productions at a reasonable price. As musicians ourselves, we want to reflect the passion and fire of your music in the final recorded product.
The heart of the studio is a 2.4 GHz, dual core Music XPC S3 computer with 2G of RAM and four hard drives totaling 1.2 Terabytes of storage with an RME-800 firewire interface. We use Neumann, AKG and Audio-Technica mics to achieve clean, quality tracks. In addition to Reaper, the main recording platform, software includes Soundforge, iZotope and CD Architect. More than 250 payware plug-ins provide a wide variety of equalizers, compressors, limiters, autotuners, reverbs and many other effects. With this state-of-the-art hardware and software combination...
...we can take your project from a dream to a final master CD ready for replication or duplication, all at a reasonable cost.
We're a full service studio providing, as needed, production, arrangements, back-up vocals and backing instruments, all at very reasonable rates. We also provide musical scores for film and television and other commissioned pieces. Try our recently added service of audio restoration. We can take out the clicks, scratches and hiss from all of your old but dearly loved cassettes, LP's, 45's or even 78 rpm records and transfer to pristine new CD's. Please contact us for a quotation on any of these services.
Martha Krueger's "Reach High" and Larry and Jacqueline Pearson's "Yearning Heart", projects completed in the Jazz Kitchen, were nominated for 2009 Hamilton Music Awards.
